From Enlightenment to Entanglement - exploring

Faith in Science

The 'From Enlightenment to Entanglement' programme of events has been announced. This project - funded by the Templeton Foundation and collaboratively led by the University of Derby and Derby Cathedral - explores the relationship between faith and science through a series of public lectures given by high-profile scientists and theologians, alongside Sunday Science Evensongs responding to the themes of the previous lecture. Two walking tours will also take place, delving into the scientific heritage of Derby Cathedral.

The programme will launch on April 30th at a special 6pm Sunday Evensong led by the Rt Revd Richard Cheetham, Bishop of Kingston. A physicist and senior Anglican, the subject of Bishop Richard's sermon will be 'Does science need God? Does God need science?', and a drinks reception shall follow the service.
