Derby Film Festival Special Screening

Picture1

The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923), with live musical accompaniment on the Cathedral organ

Saturday 30th April 2016, 7.30 pm (doors open 7.00 pm)

Tickets £11.50/£10 from QUAD Box Office

The atmospheric Derby Cathedral provides the setting for this timeless Cathedral film, famous for Lon Chaney’s classic performance as Quasimodo – the deaf, half-blind bellringer of Notre Dame.

Live accompaniment for this special screening will be provided by Donald Mackenzie, organist of the Odeon, Leicester Square, who will be playing Derby Cathedral’s 1938 Compton organ.

Explore Derby Cathedral’s 220-foot tower and belfry before the film! An hour-long tower tour will take place at 5:45pm. Tickets for this tour are £7 and include a complimentary glass of wine – and first dibs on the best seats in the Cathedral!
