Mothering Sunday to be celebrated
Mums will be celebrated at Derby Cathedral when the Cathedral puts on a special Sunday morning Mothering Sunday Eucharist (14th March at 1045am).
Mothering Sunday always falls in the season of Lent and focuses on the importance of mothers both in our own lives – and in the Bible itself.
The relationship between Mary and Jesus has of course been the focus of much reflection over many centuries and the holy family is a source of great encouragement to many.
There will be special readings and music to mark Mothering Sunday and everyone is welcome to the service which is followed by a Traidcraft Stall in the Beddoes Room.
