Dean’s Installation

Dr John Davies was installed in October as the new Dean of Derby.

In his address at the installation Saturday 9th October the new Dean gave a very upbeat account of Derby Cathedral's Ministry - 60,000 visitors a year, a stunning building, a rich musical life, a flourishing Sunday congregation and strong links with the diocese and county. Over 500 people were present for the Installation.

The Bishop of Derby, Dr Alastair Redfern, said that he thought the service had gone extremely well and asked everyone to pray for the new Dean in his ministry and work.
