A fun and creative way for your child to learn to follow Jesus!
Body: All children are welcome to join the activities of The Ark. Children who have not yet started primary school should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The Ark meets during the 10.45am Sunday Cathedral Eucharist, assembling in the north aisle near the pulpit towards the end of the first hymn. Look for the dove which is usually carried by one of the children or ask one of the welcomers.
The children go to the Beddoes Room (downstairs through the Vestry) for activities, and we aim to bring the children back up into the Cathedral to say the Lord’s Prayer together in the Court Area (near the Vestry doors) and get the children back to their parents / carers before going up for Communion.
At all times the children are supervised by a leader and helper who have both been fully DBS checked and trained in the Cathedral’s Fire Evacuation procedure. In the unlikely event of a fire the children will be taken directly out of the Cathedral via the downstairs doors and supervised closely until reunited with parents / carers in the assembly area.
